been filled:
GENERAL
Greg Check suggested the executive focus of core
issues for the membership, i.e.: Newsletter, Events
and Membership outreach. Jim Gilmour suggested that
the executive review the structure of the BSROA.
The group decided that the BSROA has been loosing
focus with respect to the goals of the organization.
We have been getting caught up in the details. It
was decided by all present that the executive would
begin to delegate tasks to individuals and groups
who have expressed an interest in a particular task,
i.e. newsletter, etc.
Dennis Nault suggested the creation of events on
a regular basis , both active and static, that would
help to increase the membership and participation
of current members. Specific events may include beach
/ trail cleanup, tech events and seminars. Alan Elliot
of Cityside Garage has expressed an interest in hosting
events on a regular basis.
The executive would investigate creating a "PAYPAL"
account for the club. This would facilitate easy on-line
payments for payment of dues and purchases from the
club store. It was decided by all present that there
should be a new individual in charge of the website.
The new web master will also work to create an on-line
store. Voting , email, newsletters and notifications
to all members will occur on-line either through the
group or the website.
Since Matt Peckham has left the area it would be
best for the BSROA to have a local person to manage
it. Chris Tullman has been mentioned as a possible
candidate. The executive will inquire.
The Secretary will create a new local, mailing address
for the BSROA.
