Fun Run
- Spring 2004 - Photos needed. Send them into be included
here
The newsletter had some good photos and
descriptions from this event written up by B. McNally
and D. Stowe. Thank you for the contributions guys.
This run was sponsored by Cityside Garage (www.citysidegarage.com).
Here are some of the basics.
This run was attenedend by some of the
long time BSROA members, some of the heavily modified
vehicles, relatively stock trucks, and brand new members
of the club out to see where they can go.
This event was held on private land in
central Mass. The group met up in the sand pit by the
entrance to the land. From there the larger group split
into several smaller groups to head out on the trails.
All three groups had a large following of mosquitos
that where happy to join in along the way. The bug spray
was the best friend for most folks.
The trail gave a few chances to see how
good the approach and departure angles of the different
trucks right at the beginning. Newer drivers were put
in the middle of the groups so they could see how the
vehicles ahead of them picked a line through the obstacles.
There were a few good spots to demonstrate recovery
techniques thanks to the recent rain making everything
more slick.
Many more runs like this to happen in
the future. It's relatively close for everyone, and
has some great trails on the property already. Stay
tuned to the yahoo list for the lasted updates.
